Take a new look at old sites. What food was available in the nineteenth century and how was it cooked? This food focused walking tour explores the kitchens, shops and types of food available in the nineteenth century via key archaeological sites in The Rocks and Millers Point. Starting at SPM we explore the surviving basement kitchens of these working class houses and the c1820s kitchen and Parbury Ruins. We then look at the shops of the Big Dig site which included a bakery and butcher shop.
