From as early as 1908 the sweet smells of Saporiti & Bardelini’s confectionery wafted down Weston Road, Rozelle. Today, Mezzipicca(est.1952), one of Sydney’s first genuinely Italian cake shops, Bar Sport(est. 1956), Leichhardt’s first Italian café and Bar Italia(est. 1968), are all part of the social fabric of Leichhardt’s Italian heritage. Come and join us for a tour of Leichhardt’s prominent Italian cafes and enjoy coffee & Italian sweets at Bar Italia.
