From as early as 1908 the sweet smells of Saporiti & Bardelini’s confectionary wafted down Weston Road, Rozelle. Today, one of Sydney’s first genuinely Italian cake shops Mezzipicca (est.1952), Bar Sport (est. 1956): Leichhardt’s first Italian café, and Bar Italia (est. 1968) are all part of the social fabric of the continuation of Leichhardt’s Italian heritage. Come and join us for a tour of Leichhardt’s prominent Italian cafes and enjoy coffee & Italian sweets at Mezzapica.
